I decided for my first blog post I’d start by introducing myself. I’ve never been good at talking about myself and I think that you get to know someone better over time. This will just be a quick overall, but keep checking back if you want to learn more about me and my family.

To start, I am the oldest of my parents 2 daughters. My little sister and I don’t always see eye to eye, but she has always been a tremendous support throughout my life and I know she’ll always be there for me and now my son. I grew up in Boston, and I now live in Virginia after what has been a wild 2 years.
I live with Bipolar 1, anxiety and PTSD, but I try not to let it define my entire life. I say this so you know I try to be an advocate for mental health. I volunteered with an organization Families for Depression Awareness for many years and I continue to try to support their mission in a variety of ways.
I met my now husband day 1 (move in day) of freshman year of college, the year I was going to be single. Now nearly 8 years later, I’m so glad I knocked on his dorm room door (maybe I’ll tell that story one day). I’m very fortunate to have been able to grow with him and call him my soul mate.
I love, love, love Disney. I’ve done the Disney College Program, got engaged at Disney, had our Honeymoon at Disney and finally got the opportunity to go to Walt’s creation, Disneyland, 4 times in the past year, 3 of those times with our son, our rainbow baby, who I get to stay home with every day. It’s a blessing to be able to watch him grow and to see my husband be such an incredible father.

I hope you’ll stick around to learn more and help me grow as a wife, a mom, and most importantly a person.
Xoxo,
Courtney
